HIPAA Privacy Rule

The HIPAA Privacy rule explains how a covered entity may use protected health information, under what circumstances the entity may disclose protected health information and how a covered entity will notify individuals of those rights and allow them to exercise those rights. The Privacy Rule also requires that organizations develop privacy policies and procedures and implement staff training programs on the newly implemented privacy policies and procedures.
